Did you know that not only do we supply and install biomass boilers, but we are also able to offer heat meters at trade prices. These are digital, ultrasonic units, manufactured in Denmark by Kamstrup Instrumentation. Heat meters are a great investment if you have more than one property to heat whether it be residential or commercial. Tenants can be invoiced for the exact amount of energy used by their property.
Water flow rate and temperature difference between flow and return are measured in the primary pipework to the property. These values are used to calculate energy transfer which is displayed on the LCD screen in MWh.
The Ultraflow, Kamstrup’s ultrasonic flowmeter works by measuring time difference between ultrasonic pulses passing in opposite directions through a moving liquid. This is highly accurate, provided the unit is properly selected for its application. This service is carried out by our engineers. Ultrasonic flowmeters have no moving parts and require zero maintenance during their lifetime.
The Multical, Kamstrup’s energy integrator, is housed in a rugged, waterproof case with two simple function buttons. The default display is energy in MWh but other information including flowrate, temperatures and instantaneous power in kW are available at the touch of a button.
Additional functions and adaptability are almost endless with options for centralised reading via wired or wireless networks. Integration with BMS and other controls is possible via various expansion modules for the Multical.
